Life Care
The Life Care ministry pivots around caring for people who are in need.
Matthew 25:35-40: "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
This is a call for us to do for others as we would others to do for us. And in the process;

1. We want to transform the lives of people who are in need. And by serving them, we are being transformed in the likes of Jesus.
1 John 3:17 But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 2. We want to give hope to those who are in need. Psalm 9:18 But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. |
Who are we reaching out to?
We are reaching out to the people who are near and dear to our hearts. We are one body as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:21-26.
"The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."
How are we going to start?
We have determined a fixed set of grocery items to which we can pledge to. We collect these resources consistently on a monthly basis. It is our believe that as we use our resources to help the family in Christ, not only will we see their lives transformed but also our own lives as well. As we give, we will see that God will honor each and every one of us.
