Destiny Kids & Teens
Destiny Kids & Teens is our community project here at Life Church, where we teach about character once a month usually on the third Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
We have called this ministry Destiny Kids & Teens because we believe that each child is destined for great things which could be achieved by having good character qualities. We believe that each child achieves true success when they have good character.
True success cannot be achieved without character.
We started this community project in September 2012. The objective of these monthly meet ups is to have children and teenagers together with their parents to come and learn the character principles and then put them to practical use. We introduce ONE character a month by incorporate various teaching strategies such as art/craft, drama, singing, puppet show, games etc.
It is our expressed hope that through these monthly meet ups, we are able to teach and encourage families to build character into their daily lives e.g. truthfulness, patience, loyalty, honour, gratefulness, compassion, joyfulness, etc. in order that stronger families will be formed, and in a broader spectrum a stronger community will be developed.
“Sow a thought and you reap an action;
Sow an act and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit and you reap a character;
Sow a character and you reap a destiny. “
Emerson, Ralph Waldo
